Lucknow: Students of Sanskrit at Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya in Varanasi, the city of Baba Vishwanath were given free tablet and smartphone from the Yogi government of the state on Thursday. The faces of the students lit up after receiving the tablet or smartphone from the hands of MoS Ravindra Jaiswal. On this occasion, Minister Ravindra Jaiswal motivated the students to increase their efficiency by equipping them with new technology and achieve the goal of success.

The event was organized in the main building of the university. Tablets and smartphones were distributed among Shastri Acharya and students of B.Ed. A total of 691 students got this gift. It is noteworthy that the Yogi government of UP is engaged in fulfilling the promises of the Sankalp Patra. The free smartphone and tablet distribution scheme was included by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the resolution issued in the last assembly elections.

Yogi government has also included this scheme in the agenda of 100 days. In the Sankalp Patra, the BJP has set a target of giving tablets and smartphones to two crore youth. The Information Technology Department of the State Government has included a plan to provide tablets and smartphones to 9.74 lakh youth in its 10-day action plan.
