Lucknow: Taking a big decision, the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has announced to conduct an inquiry into all 7,442 madrassas that have taken advantage of the modernization scheme. The government has taken this decision after receiving complaints of fake madrassas running only on paper in some districts. Let us tell you that a special scheme is run by the central government for the madrassas of the country.

Under this madrassa modernization scheme, the focus is on imparting modern education to Muslim children. For this, three additional teachers are also kept in every madrasa. In this, six thousand rupees are provided to graduate teachers and 12 thousand rupees to post-graduate teachers. The UP government also gives additional honorarium to these teachers on its behalf. A total of 21126 teachers teach in these madrasas.

In such a situation, when complaints were received that some madrasas were running only on paper, the Yogi government of the state announced to get all 7,442 madrassas investigated. There were complaints that several madrasas were being run by the same society, there were also reports about Amroha district. Keeping all these things in mind, the Yogi government has decided to investigate madrassas.

Old controversy :-

It started during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party (SP) government in the year 2013 when a total of 118 fake madrasas were found in the state. Then most fake madrasas were found in Meerut. Now this time the state government has received similar complaints regarding Amroha, Gonda and Kushinagar, in such a situation a detailed investigation is being done in all the madrasas. Along with all this, a special panel will also be formed to examine the quality of education in madrassas.
