Lucknow: A bulldozer action has been carried out yesterday July 4, 2022 (Monday) at the house of the mining mafia and former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLC Haji Iqbal in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Haji Iqbal and his family have several cases of rape and illegal property registered against them. Police are now searching for Haji Iqbal who is on the run. Before this, Haji Iqbal's house has been attached.
In the video that is going viral, a bulldozer is seen demolishing Iqbal's construction. According to media reports, haji Iqbal's Kothi on which the bulldozers have run is located in Bhagat Singh colony in the posh area of Saharanpur. There are a total of 3 cells of Iqbal here, of which the map of one is not passed and 2 others are not made to suit the fixed map. It is being told that a notice was issued on these constructions by the Saharanpur Development Authority. There was no response to this notice within the stipulated time frame, following which the action has been taken.
Saharanpur's ADM Finance and Revenue Rajnish Mishra said that action is being taken by the Development Authority. It is being told that the Kothi whose map is not near, it will be completely demolished and which is not in accordance with the map will be demolished to the limit. According to another report, one of the three Kothi that came to the fold of Karai is in the name of the BSP leader's brother Mahmood Ali.
Mahmood has also been a former MLC from the BSP and is counted among Mayawati's very special people. Along with this demolition operation, a heavy police force was also deployed at the spot along with the officials of ADM and SDM, Saharanpur Development Authority to deal with any adverse situation. On June 23, 2022, Haji Iqbal, and his brother were booked for raping a minor girl. An FIR was lodged against 4 sons of Haji Iqbal for molesting and assaulting the same victim. In May 2022, the government seized 50 unnamed properties in the name of Haji Iqbal's servant Naseem. It is worth about Rs.21 crores. The Saharanpur police had taken the action under 14(1) of the Gangster Act.
