Lucknow: Ahead of uttar pradesh assembly elections, the Yogi Adityanath government in the state has taken a major decision to end the border dispute with Bihar. The Yogi government will now exchange seven villages adjoining Bihar to end the border dispute after the exchange of villages along the Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand border. According to reports, seven villages in Kushinagar district of UP will be shifted to Bihar under Bagha district while seven villages of Bagha will be taken up in Uttar Pradesh. Tell us that these are villages which lag behind in development due to administrative screw due to bordering UP and Bihar.

The Governments of both the States have agreed to the proposal and will send a proposal to the Central Government in this regard. The process of swapping of villages will be completed as soon as the approval of the Central Government is given. This will provide facilities to the people of both the subas. The Commissioner of Tirhut Division is said to have written to District Collector Kundan Kumar in this regard. He has directed to prepare a proposal for seven villages in Bihar bordering UP. The Commissioner has written in his letter that the residents of the village, including the administration, have to travel through UP to reach Bari Sthal, Manjharia, Mazaria Khas, Shripatnagar, Nainha, Bhaisahi and Katki villages of Piprasi block across the Gandak river, which takes more time and faces many difficulties.

He wrote in the letter that the same is the case with Marchahwa, Narsinghpur, Shivpur, Balgovind, Basantpur, Hariharpur and Narainapur villages of Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The UP administration has to pass through the border of Nepal and Bihar to go to these villages adjoining Bagha district of Bihar. The UP administration has to cover an additional distance of 25 to 30 kilometres to reach these villages. With seven villages in Kushinagar district bordering Bihar joining Bagha and seven villages of Bagha joining Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, land disputes will be completely eliminated. At the same time, it will be easier for the farmers to do agricultural work. People and administration will not have to pass through each other's states for movement in these villages. Relief will be available to the people at the earliest in times of floods and other disasters.
