Lucknow: There is a commotion among the state employees of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government in the state is going to forcibly retire those above the age of 50 years working in government departments. It has been made mandatory by the government to decide by July 31 on the compulsory retirement of such employees who are involved in corruption, serious illness, non-working and are under investigation. This has to be reported to the Personnel Department by August 15.
Let us know that the employees in the state are retired on completion of the age of 60 years. Earlier, in some departments, 58 years was also the retirement age. On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra issued an order to the heads of the department, following which there was an uproar among the state employees. In fact, the order states that the screening committee will consider the employees who have completed the age of 50 years on March 31, 2022. In the case of a Government servant who has completed this age, if the decision to retain him in service is made once by placing a proposal before the screening committee, then there is no need to replace his name before the screening committee again and again. Such employee shall be retained in service till the period of retirement.
At the same time, the Government has pointed out that the employees who are in the position where they are holding are useful, whose performance is better, who are doing their work with full sincerity and the employees who are not being accused of any corruption and the employee who is not being investigated. No action will be taken against those employees.
