Lucknow: The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh is now going to provide low-cost rented houses to poor migrant laborers, urban poor, and widows. The scheme is being launched under the Affordable Housing Scheme. If the houses constructed are not allotted in this scheme, they will be provided to the needy poor.
It is said that the rent of the house will be determined on the basis of the location and status of the house. In 2 years, the fare will be increased by 8 percent. Under this scheme, houses will be rented out to the poor for 25 years. The scheme has been approved at a cabinet meeting held in UP on Thursday under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. It will be implemented in two ways in the state.
According to the first model, un-allocated houses built in various schemes under the affordable housing scheme will be rented out. In the other model, builders will be rented out for cheaper housing. It is said that if builders build affordable houses on their land, they will be exempted from the government's tax.
