Woman died due to suffocation in Sampark Kranti Express

Lucknow: A woman on Friday night died because of suffocation due to overcrowding in Sampark Kranti Express. She was accompanied with her father and other brothers and sisters from Banda to Delhi. Police have sent the body to post-mortem.

On Friday night, Ramprakash Ahirwa was going to Hazrat Nizamuddin from Banda in Up Sampark Kranti Express along with his daughter Sita and other children.

As per the information received from the sources, there was a huge crowd in the train. He boarded the general coach somehow with the daughter and other children. After entering the coach suddenly, Sita's condition began to deteriorate. After getting out of Banda, the train also stopped at Mahoba and Mauranipur station but could not get off due to the mob.

 Sita fainted with all of a sudden and between the train Niwadi and Baruagar station. After the train reached Jhansi, the father took him down from the coach and informed the Deputy SS in collaboration with the railwaymen. As soon as the information was received, Sita was taken to the railway Hospital for treatment, where the physicians were pronounced dead. The GRP Incharge inspector said that she was sick. Probably, she could not breathe and fainted because of the overcrowding. He died after that. The exact cause of death will be revealed in the post-mortem report.
