Tirupati: A youth was brutally beaten up for sharing derogatory comments on a Facebook post. Police registered case against nine people out of whom seven were sent to custody.

According to reports One of the accused, Sarath Reddy who hails from Mittur area in Chittoor had shared a short film on FB on which the victim had allegedly posted a derogatory comment and content against a girl on that post. The victim who was identified as Saadhik had allegedly posted a picture of a girl has shown her in poor light.

Reddy and a woman, believed to be his mother, manhandled Saadhik at their residence after which Reddy took him to a nearby locality where he and his friends cruelly beat him up. A video of the incident surfaced online.

Victim had filed a complaint at Chittoor urban division police station after which a case was registered against the accused. The police verified the video and interrogated the accused which included four minors. The police is also trying to catch the two absconding accused.
