NEW DELHI: Former defending champion U-Mumba of the Pro Kabaddi League season sixth defeated Puneri Palton by 33-23 in the 12th game of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). This is U-Mumba's second consecutive victory in three games. With this win, Mumba's team has finished third in the points table. This is the second consecutive defeat of Puneri Paltan.
U-Mumba was leading 11-9 in the first half of the match played at the NSCI SVP Ground. The team made the match in the second half with a good game. Captain Virat Kohli of the Indian cricket team was also present to watch the match. He kept a close watch on the game and also encouraged the sportspersons on the best of sports.
Before the match, the commentators talked to Kabaddi in Church. He saw some of the moves in Kabaddi and then named the cricketer who could do so. Abhishek Singh scored five points while Rohit Balyan, Surinder Singh and Sandeep Narwal scored four points for U-Mumba. Surjeet Singh scored six points while Pawan Kadiyan scored four points for Puneri. The team got 12 points from the Reds and 11 points from tackles. U Mumba won the only setback this season from the Jaipur Pink Panthers. In the first encounter, Jaipur defeated U Mumba.
