There is only a short time left for IPL to start. This time, IPL will start on the 19th of September. World Cup winner former Indian all-rounder cricketer Yuvraj Singh has decided to return from retirement at the request of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA). This news is very big for the fans of Yuvraj. Yuvraj, who was the 'Player of the tournament' of the World Cup 2011, announced his retirement in June last year. PCA Secretary Puneet Bali was the first person who offered to return from retirement for the benefit of Punjab cricket.

Yuvraj said in a conversation with the news website, "Initially I was not sure about accepting this offer. I had stopped playing domestic cricket, although I wanted to continue playing in other domestic franchise leagues around the world if I would have got permission from the BCCI." Yuvraj also said, "But I could not ignore Mr Bali's request. I thought it over for about three to four weeks and it was almost like I thought there was no need to make a decision".

Bali said, "Yuvraj has written to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in this regard". He also revealed, "I know that he has written a letter to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly to return from retirement". He said, "We want him in the team and the way he mentors young boys, he is fantastic. I told him to give at least one more year of his life to Punjab cricket".
