New Delhi: The Pink Ball Test match played in Ahmedabad between India and England ended in just 2 days. The Indian cricket team has taken a 2–1 lead in the third match of the four-match Test series, winning with 10-wicket. On the second day of the match, England's second innings was reduced to 81 runs and India achieved the target of 49 runs without losing wickets.
Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh spoke on social media after India's victory in the Motera Test. He questioned the end of the match in two days, as well as wishing the heroes of the match Axar Patel and R Ashwin. He said that it is not good for Test cricket to end the match in two days, if Kumble and Harbhajan bowled on such a wicket, they would have probably taken 1000 wickets. The third match of the series played between India and England will always be remembered. This was the first international match to be played in the world's largest stadium and that too came out in just two days. India had piled up England for 112 runs in the first innings with the excellent bowling of Axar Patel and R. Ashwin. After this, Team India, who were allouted by 145 runs, took the lead of 33 runs.
England's condition got worse in the second innings and with the letter, Ashwin piled on the batsmen for just 81 runs. A modest target of 49 runs was achieved by Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in 7.4 overs. Axar took a total of 11 wickets in both innings and was adjudged Man of the Match. Ashwin took 7 wickets in the match.
