New Delhi: Divisive Islamic cleric and preecher Zakir Naik on Wednesday refused all reports of his revisit to India, calling them baseless and false.

Zakir has been staying abroad to avoid arrest in various cases in India. He said he has no plans to come back to his native place until he feels protected from unjust prosecution.

"The news of my coming to India is totally baseless and false. I have no plans to come to India till I don't feel safe from unfair prosecution. Insha Allah when I feel that the government will be just and fair, I will surely return to my homeland," the Muslim preacher was quoted as saying by the leading news agency ANI.

Early in the today morning, a number of reports rounded as saying Zakir was deported to India from Malaysia. However, the reports have been turned down by National Investigation Agency (NIA) representative Alok Mittal too.

"We have no such information as of now. We are verifying it," Mittal asserted.

Zakir Naik's remark comes after media reports claimed that his possible come back to his home country quoting Malaysian government sources.

 Worth mention here Naik has various charges in his name following different cases, including for hate speech and money laundering, in India and has been staying abroad to avoid arrest.

He faces a ban in the UK also but he has been given permanent residency in Malaysia and has been cuddle by high ranking government officials.
