Tiger Woods is in quest for his record-breaking 83rd PGA Tour victory on Thursday at the relocated Zozo Championship in California. In the same tournament last year in Japan he bagged the 82nd tour title of his career tying Sam Snead's all-time mark to cap a 2019 and it included a 15th major title at the Masters. The coronavirus pandemic and niggling injuries stalled Woods' hopes of moving towards 83rd victory.

The former World No: 1, 4 years old Tiger Woods has not played since the US Open in New York just over a month ago, his challenge untangled with a seven-over-par second-round 77. The opportunity of conquering his title at this week's Zozo Championship at Sherwood Country Club, just outside Los Angeles was utilized well. This week's event features a full 78-player field, undoubtedly Woods will feel at home on the 7,098-yard layout. The show will be seen on Thursday alongside Matthew Wolff and Xander Schauffele. The world number one Dustin Johnson who is in his recovery from Covid-19, withdrew on Monday.  Woods has to get better for a star studded victory of 83rd title.

World No: 2 Jon Rahm, two-time FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy,  Hideki Matsuyama from Japan last year runner up, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Tommy Fleetwood, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth are also taking part in the championship. Lets see Woods is making it and breaks the record or not.
