‘Gamechanger’ of Bollywood, Suresh Jindal passes away

One of the most renowned filmmakers in Bollywood, Veteran filmmaker and producer Suresh Jindal passed away. According to the information, the filmmaker passes away due to a prolonged illness. He was critically ill and was undergoing treatment in a New Delhi hospital for more than a month. He was 80 years and will be cremated tomorrow around 2 pm at the Lodhi Crematorium in Delhi. He was also known as Gamechanger in Bollywood for his different styles.

Producer Suresh Jindal, better known for classic films like 'Rajnigandha', 'Katha' and 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi',. Suresh Jindal's demise has been confirmed by well-known lyricist Amit Khanna through social media. His family also sent out an official statement regarding his death. The statement read, “In our hearts forever and always…Suresh Jindal. With deep sorrow we inform you about the demise of Mr Suresh Jindal who left for his heavenly abode on 24.11.2022. The cremation will be taking place at the Lodhi crematorium, 2 pm”.

Suresh Jindal was a well-known producer of the Indian film industry, who has blessed the cinema industry with many excellent classical films. In the 1970s, Suresh Jindal was one of those producers in India who dreamed of making films out of the league. He had made various major hit films Rajnigandha, Katha and Satyajit Ray’s Shatranj Ke Khilari, Suresh played a big role in redefining parallel cinema in India. He authored the book, My Adventures With Satyajit Ray: The Making Of Shatranj Ke Khilari, which detailed his association with Ray and how Jindal, then a rookie producer, managed to have an unlikely collaboration with the master filmmaker.
