New Delhi: Today, the Supreme court will hear the petition of Dr. Raman Kakkar filed by him in relation to the case with doses of Tuberculosis. The Bench will be headed by Justice J.S Khehar, while other judges will be Justice D.Y Chandrachud and L Nageswara Rao.
The plea is regarding the change in the treatment system of the country. In plea, it is mentioned that the current situation of giving three doses of medicine in a week should be changed with daily dose method.
The petition said "A category II patient (one whose disease has relapsed) in India is given only 24 injections (of the antibacterial streptomycin) while everywhere else in the world such a patient generally gets 60 injections".
