Centuries triggered by Bangladeshi players crushed New Zealand in the first match today at Wellington's Basin reserve. One century by Mushfiqur Rahim and double century by Shakib Al Hasan had hit hammer on the head of New Zealand team.

Match closed with the total of 542 runs in 7 wickets,it is the third highest first innings in its 59 test history. Shakib left the field with the total of 217 runs, highest score ever by Bangladesh player and Mushfiqur left with 159 runs. Duos gave a great contribution to the overall scores.

Both the batsmen survived for nearly 4.4 overs.
