13 employees terminated for Kalinga Utkal Express

The Kanliga Utkal rail tragedy which took place on Wednesday has terminated the service of 13 employees under the section of 14/2 of the Railway Act, including a junior engineer and 11 gangmen. In derailment, about 22 people died and over 150 were injured.

The decision was taken by the senior administration officials of the Delhi division of Northern Railways. Not only had this but he also said that railway has powers under the section of 14/2 of the Railway Act to remove employees from their duty without any inquiry.

The action comes over in 10 days after 14 coaches of Kalinga Utkal express derailed in Muzaffarnagar’s Khatauli area. The Indian railways had also suspended four engineers and transferred an official.
