On 21st September i.e. today, the day of goddess Durga has been started. Durga is worshiped in nine nights. In the Navaratri, the devotee gets rid of every trouble by performing Durga Puja.
Navaratri is an important festival which is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout India. During Navaratri, a large crowd of devotees rises in certain temples of Delhi. In these temples of Delhi, the long queues of the devotees can be seen. So let's know about the temples of Durga in city capital of Delhi.
1. Kalka Ji temple: The famous Kalkaji temple is one of the most visited ancient temples in India. It is located in Kalkaji near Nehru Place in Delhi. This temple is dedicated to an incarnation of Goddess Durga, Goddess Kali. It is also known as Manokamna Pradhan Peeth. Manokamna means that all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled here. The legend behind this temple is also very interesting. This temple was built by the masonry of bricks, but it is presently decorated with marble and surrounded by a pyramid-shaped column from around it. Here is a veranda surrounded by the sanctum, which has 36 arched paths.
2. Sheetla Mata Temple: The temple of Sheetla Mata located in Gurgaon near Delhi is also very famous. The fair is organized in this temple during Navaratri. The avatar of the Goddess in this temple is wonderful. From far off places, devotees come here to fulfill their wishes. It is believed that Sheetla Mata never sent empty hands to her devotees.
3. Jhandewalan Mata Temple: Jhandewalan Mata Temple is one of the well-known temples of the country and Delhi. All the wishes of devotees are fulfilled in this temple. Here thousands of devotees come to visit the Mata Rani. In the festival of Navaratri, the crowd of devotees can be seen.
