After the launch of Reliance Jio all the telecom company is facing the crunch, even the dominating competitors like Airtel and Vodafone. At this time, Aircel takes its step to save itself. Aircel launch a plan named as FRC148. This is a prepaid plan for the customers in Delhi NCR. The launch event held on Monday of the current week. The price of a plan is Rs.148 with the validity of 90 days or three months. It offers unlimited local and STD 'on-net' calls, which means Aircel to Aircel, apart from off-net and data benefits.
As for the off-net calls, or Aircel to another operator, the Aircel new plan offers free calls for 15,000 seconds per month, which translates to 250 minutes per month. After the free usage is expired, the 'off-net' calling rates will revert to Rs. 0.30 per minute. Coming to the data benefits, the company says the FRC148 plan will give unlimited 2G data for one month, but with a 500MB FUP.
According to the Aircel, customers have to recharge their phones in a second and third month with the minimum recharge value of Rs.50. this recharge is mandatory for taking the benefit of FRC148.
Aircel Regional Manager - North Harish Sharma said: “the recent drop in the average selling price of smartphones has led to an explosion in the adoption of smartphones among Indians.”
"More and more Indians are using mobile for calling (Voice) as well as surfing/sharing online (Internet/data). Aircel recognizes the trend of customers becoming a multi-service user hence it becomes imperative to introduce fully loaded combo packs which are a solution to their evolving communication needs," Sharma said.
