Anil Kapoor has been roped in for portraying the head of the base in Amazon's original pilot based on "The Book of Strange New Things" which is reportedly based on the cult novel from Michael Faber. In this one-hour drama pilot, Anil will be seen playing Vikram Danesh, the authoritative head of the base on Oasis.
Nitesh Kripalani, the director said, " 'The Book of Strange New Things' is a mesmerizing genre-defying novel from a writer in full command of his many talents, and we couldn't think of anyone better than Anil Kapoor to play this complex role."
Matt Charman of "Bridge of Spies" fame is written the Pilot which is produced by Andy Harries and Lila Rawlings with Kevin MacDonald as director.
