Indian Army smacks Naga rebels along Myanmar border, a number of NSCN (K) terrorists killed

A large number of Naga rebels were killed along the Indo-Myanmar border after the Indian Army, in response to show aggression by insurgents, rained heavy fire on NSCN(K) cadre.

The Indian Army killed a major number of Naga rebels in a pre-dawn counter operation along the Myanmar.

The Army's Eastern Command unconfined information about the operation on Twitter, rebutting reports of high casualties among Army personnel.

There were no casualties among Indian Army soldiers, the Eastern Command said, adding that the gunfight between its troops and the NSCN(K) cadre took place at 4.45 am.

The Army's Eastern Command  said that the operation was launched after a group of rebellious attacked an Indian Army column that was moving along the Indo-Myanmar border.

Following the attack, the Army act in response with "heavy retaliatory fire" inflicting a "large number of casualties" among the insurgents, the Eastern Command said.

The Army said that its soldiers did not cross the international border and reiterated that no troops had been killed in the operation.
