Iran's semi-official Tasnim quoted as, “Ali Abdollahi, deputy chief of army headquarters, as saying that the test-firing of the missile, with a range of 2,000 kilometers, or 1,250 miles, was carried out two weeks ago”

Iran, which claims the tests do not violate the deal, is likely try to find to prove that it's pushing ahead with its ballistic programme notwithstanding climbing back the nuclear program following the deal that led to the lifting of international sanction on Tehran.

In March, Iran test-fired two ballistic missiles one adorned with the phrase "Israel must be wiped out" in Hebrew that set off an international outcry.
