Half Girlfriend starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor released yesterday and has received a good opening on the Day 1. But Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium as compared to Half Girlfriend, did not fare well.

Around 25-30% was the occupancy rate of Half Girlfriend and it collected INR 10.27 crore at the box office on Day 1. The collections of film in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore were average.

Around 10-15% was the occupancy rate of Hindi Medium and earned around INR ₹ 2.80 on its day 1. A trade site stated "Hindi Medium grossed 2.50 crore nett on day one which is low."
