Let us tell you that keeping in mind the challenges of climate change, the government has set a target to run all the vehicles by 2030. In the next three to four years, there is a plan to bring electric vehicles in place of diesel and petrol-powered government vehicles. For this, Public Sector Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) is purchasing 10,000 electric cars.

Chief Executive Officer CEO of Tata Power DDL, a joint venture between Tata Power and Delhi Government, Pabir Sinh pointed out that "Their company is preparing the necessary infrastructure for the charging of electric vehicles. DERC has fixed a fee of Rs 5.50 per unit for charging electric vehicles."

When asked about the expenses incurred on electric vehicles, he said, charging 6 to 8 units of electricity will be used for charging a vehicle and it can be used for about 100 kilometers. In this regard, you will have to spend about 42 rupees for running 100 kilometers, which will be much cheaper than petrol, diesel, and CNG and it will also be environmentally friendly.

When asked about charging time, Sinha said that fast charging centers charge electric vehicles in 30 minutes, while the normal charging center takes 6 to 8 hours. At the normal charging center, where the expenditure is up to Rs. 1,00,000, the cost of setting up a fast charging center is slightly higher.

The charging station is currently fifth place in Delhi. At Five places in the national capital, Rohini is imposed Charging Station in Delhi University campus, Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh and Model Town.  There is a plan to install 1,000 charging centers in the next 5 years.
