Berlin: A research has claimed that the signs associated with aging in the brain of the elderly can be reversed.

Catherine Reiferfeld of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases located in Germany said that due to exercise, the age-related thoughts in mental and physical capacity can be slowed and reduced.

Catherine said that we have shown that the two different types of physical exercise 'dance and permanent training' both increase with the brain, which actually decreases with age. Comparatively, in the case of balance reform, there is a significant change in behavior due to dance.

On an average, 68-year-old volunteers were appointed for research and they were asked to take 18 months of weekly dance or workout training. Researchers said that both groups showed an increase in the brain's hippocampus area.

This is important because it is known to decrease with aging. It is also affected by Alzheimer's disease. It plays an important role in memory and remembering and also keeps the person balanced.
