Donald Trump, the United State president today called upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to congratulate him on the winning of election polls.

The prime minister office tweeted that "US President HE Mr. @realDonaldTrump called PM @narendramodi to convey his felicitations on the electoral results. @POTUS,"

In the conducted Assembly elections in five states i.e  Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party has able to form a government in four states i.e Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

On 11 march the results were out in which the BJP lost in Punjab and Congress won.
