If a man fulfils his father’s dream then nothing would be best for the parents. So, actor Sonu Sood will also be doing the same thing as he is about to fulfil his most loved father Shakti Sood’s dream. The actor speaks up about his dad’s dream and said that it was his dad’s dream to get into the army. That’s why the actor is portraying the role of soldier in filmmaker JP Dutta’s upcoming film Paltan.
Sonu Sood said, “I have always wanted to play a soldier on-screen, because my dad wanted to be one (in real life). I remember when I met JP Dutta eight or nine years back, he had promised that whenever he makes an army film, he will definitely cast me. When I told this to my dad, who was alive at that time, he said ‘I would love to watch that film because since I couldn’t, I would love to see you in that uniform’. I wish he could see me don that uniform today”.
“I was supposed to debut with a JP Dutta film. I was about to start LOC, but then I had also signed the film in which I played Bhagat Singh. The shooting was happening in Punjab, but since I had started shooting for Shaheed-E-Azam, I had to miss out on working with him. When we finally met on the sets of Paltan, Dutta told me ‘it’s destiny that we have come back’”, Sood further added.
“We have been shooting there for many days now. But we were there at 18,000 ft, where there was no oxygen!”, while stating about shooting, he revealed that the toughest part of working was in Ladakh.
The actor started his career in the bollywood with the 2002 film Shaheed-E-Azam. Then he worked in many movies like, ‘Ek Vivah Esa Bhi’, LOC Kargil (2003).
