A body of 75 year old farmer found in Ganga canal in katholi area and it is suspected that it couldbe a suicide case, cops said. The body identified as Sahender pal was found in the canal yesterday, SHO S K Sharma said.
He said it is suspected to be a case of suicide. The body has been sent for postmortem and an investigation is underway, he added.
The farmer's son, Amrish, said his father was worried as he had taken a debt of Rs 2 lakh from a bank.Sub Divisional Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
