The former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Anurag Thakur yesterday met the Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sushma Verma and felicitated her in the national capital.
Thakur told ANI "Every Indian is feeling proud of the performance of the women's cricket team. Their performance was exemplary. Even though they were unable to win the World Cup, they won the hearts of 1.25 crore Indians,"
"Especially, for us, it was a great achievement as wicketkeeper Sushma Verma made the people of Himachal Pradesh proud," he added.
