The long wait for the rolling out of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) finally ended as in a midnight session of the Parliament it is rolled out. It is done in presence of President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other dignitaries as well.
From today onwards i.e July 1 the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is going to implement to completely transform the indirect taxation landscape in the country involving both the Central and State levies.
The Goal of it is One Nation - One Tax - One Market which is expected to benefit the the stakeholders namely industry, government and consumer as it will lower the cost of goods and services give a boost to the economy and make the products and services globally competitive, giving a major boost to 'Make in India' initiative.
