Kangana Ranaut starrer Simran has hit the theatres. Critics applauded Kangana for her performance but this Hansal Mehta's film has been receiving a lukewarm response at the box office.
Twitteratis are joining the discussion of putting the film into good and not good category. In the midst of all the discussions, director of film Hansal deleted his Twitter account.
But now the director is now back on Twitter and he wrote, "Since so many people are speculating about me deleting my twitter a/c here I am. Thankful for both the love and criticism coming our way. #Simran is an unconventional film about an unusual character. I’m very proud of it."
Mehta had earlier said, "I think connecting her personal issues to a film and its publicity will be trivialising her personal issues and her courage with which she is answering all these tough questions."
“Film publicity nowadays follow templates and we did not want to do that. She (Kangana) is only answering the tough questions being posed to her, and she is answering them without flinching. We are quite happy with the good response that we have received on the trailer and songs of Simran. We did not want to anything else, did not want to follow the usual publicity template,” he director added.
