Reliance Jio has assigned Intex to develop 4G phones for them that support Jio VoLTE which can be launched in August and shake the telecom markets again and might compete with the smartphone makers in near term as well.

The smartphone which Intex is making in India will have a pocket-friendly price decided by the Reliance Company including the subsidies.

Nidhi Markanday, director and business head of Intex Technologies, informed the media "We will launch this 4G feature phone in this quarter, but will not be selling it stand alone in the market. We are in dialogue with Reliance Jio for bundling which should be through very soon."

Intex, which has lost its position in the market and now it is trying to co0ma back with smartphones powered by Reliance priced at a pocket-friendly cost.
