Security forces have killed two Hizbul Mujahideen militants in the encounter in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, a terrorist has been arrested. Two terrorists named Saar Ahmad Wani and Dawood Ahmad Vani was killed in a clash in Kulgam, South Kashmir's self-proclaimed late night. Along with the militants, the army has also recovered two weapons.

On Sunday at around 02.30 am, the encounter began with 18 battalions, CRPF, 1 RR and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Earlier, at around 11:30 pm, the security forces started a search operation in the area.
An arrested terrorist has been identified as Arif Soni. An AK-47 and 1 INSAS rifle were recovered from them. During the encounter with security forces in Shopian district of South Kashmir, a terrorist surrendered on Sunday during the encounter. This is the first incident in recent months when a terrorist has laid his arms during the encounter. Police said that the terrorist has been identified as Adil, he had participated in terrorist activities in May this year.
Terrorist surrenders in Shopian:
Police officials of Jammu and Kashmir assured him that he would not be killed, after which he came out of the wreck of a house and kept his AK-47 rifle before the police officers. He told that Adil is a resident of Shopian's shop. He was immediately taken away from there for questioning.
