Young Karnataka talent, K L Rahul has been recalled in the test squad for the Indian cricket team to play the second test match. Before the beginning of the series, Indian selectors has chosen 15 member squad to be playing against the visiting English team. KL Rahul was not fit as he was suffered from the hamstring in the opening match against the kiwis.

Along with him, Shikhar Dhawan has also been poor with the form which has given chance for calling back Gautam Gambhir as the opening pair to play with Murali Vijay. In the first match, Gautam Gambhir has disappointed once again being a duck in the second innings. K L Rahul has been added as the 16th player to the squad.

As a step of joining back the national team, players first need to prove their fitness in the first class and playing from the Karnataka side he has shown to be taking ahead of the trust.

The move might call him to bat with Murali Vijay in the coming match which is going to start from 17th November in Vizag. While if once again Gautam Gambhir has been left out by the team management then it would be definitely tough for him to play for the team. Team has other options to choose from when he is not consistent.
