Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on yesterday met the south Indian superstar in Chennai. After when the actor Kamal Hassan hinted about the launching of his own political outfit.
The meeting of both them has triggered speculation that Kejriwal is likely to offer Haasan the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) platform to pursue his career in politics.
Though the south’s superstar has so far kept his fans guessing about his future political move though he has indirectly ruled out joining the BJP. He also said that “My color is definitely not saffron. That much I can say now,” after meeting Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram on September 1.
Before his meeting with Vijayan, he had also shared a stage with DMK leader MK Stalin. In the recent past, Haasan has been critical of Tamil Nadu’s ruling party, the AIADMK.
There was another news that Haasan may join hands with another superstar Rajnikanth to float a new political party though neither side has confirmed or denied it.
Prior also Haasan and Kejriwal have met at Delhi Secretariat on September 11, 2015. On that meeting, both of them exchanged their views upon the promotion of the film industry and easing the process of shooting in the national capital.
The AAP has been looking to expand across the country through the defeat in Punjab had dampened its efforts. Kejriwal’s party has already announced that it will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat on selected seats.
