Kamya Panjabi always raises her voice and put her views forward for the right. Recently, she had lent her support to the ongoing #LipstickRebellion led by Ekta Kapoor as a part of her upcoming film, Lipstick Under My Burkha. Kamya posted the picture and wrote, “They Said that don’t be that woman …The that other woman..the divorced woman .. the single mother woman .. But I am that woman ..Every time I put in my lipstick on, I smile. because I am being true to myself . Whether the world agrees or not I have made my own don’t.. Don’t you.”

But soon she removed the photo. Also, sometimes back Kamya was in news regarding the short film dedicated to her late friend Pratyusha's, "It's been produced by a common friend of mine and Pratyusha, Neeru Nikhat. She called me a few days ago and said that let's do something about this movie, let's release it online. And I was like Yes, we should."

"Whatever we earn from this movie, I will be handing it all over to Pratyusha's parents. So I thought of releasing the movie in a better way since the purpose of the movie is so good," she added
