Karan Johar pleasantly surprised everyone on March 5 with the news that he has become the father of two beautiful kids who he named Yash and Roohi. Karan became the proud parent of kids via surrogacy. He named Yash after his late father Yash Johar and Roohi on the name of his mother.

However, Karan at the India Today Conclave 2017 spoke about being a father, "I am the mother of my children. I am more of a mother than I am a father." The new daddy also said, "I didn't even realise that tears were rolling down my face because I just could not believe that there were two pieces of me staring at me, vulnerable, innocent and all piped and tubed up." "My need to have children comes from my sense of nurturing. I wanted to channelise the love within me," added the proud father.
