As we all know that Karva Chauth is not a religious tradition to do but is also a sign of love. According to the F.I.R's Kavita Kaushik Karva Chauth, it is not all about whether you are fasting or not but it is a special and romantic festival for her. She is a newly wedded bride in the small screen industry. She married to her best friend Ronnit Biswas in the year of January so, it is the first Karva Chauth for her.
“I’m very excited, because I had kept the fast last year too, but it will be the first one after my marriage. Usse Pehle Maine life mein Kabhi fast Nahi Kiya that, because I am a big foodie! We were so sure of each other since the time we met. We had decided that we will definitely get married,” says the 36-year old.
Many households across India, Kavita has planned a party for her friends on the auspicious occasion. “Last year, my mother had helped me with the pooja, but this year, she’s travelling. So Santa Ji, who had starred with me in my show Tota Weds Maina, will be coming over to my place and cooking for all us friends. I have called a Mehendi wala too. There will be lots of music, dance and food for those who are not fasting,” Kavita tells us.
She further said that “Karva Chauth is a very romantic festival. I get angry when someone says ‘Pehle Lisa host the’ ya ‘vaisa hot that’. I don’t advise anyone to do anything, eat or not eat. For me, the significance of the day is to dedicate that one day from your busy lives to your man, getting ready for him, fasting and praying for him. It’s so romantic."
