Over 30 million debit cards in the country have been blocked as there has been a hint of Suspected Data breach that has happened in India. Parallel to this scenario, Microsoft has come up with a new Cyber Security Engagement Centre in India.

“We believe security of critical information is imperative for our corporate customers, just as it is vital to ensure security and privacy of citizen data and transactions. Our first investment towards this was setting up our local data centers in India and the Cyber security Engagement Center is the second,” Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India, told reporters in New Delhi.

This the seventh Microsoft venture of the same globally and first for India. It firstly ran on a yearlong pilot, and when the future seemed to be safe, it has planned to be continued for long.
