Miss Condom Contest takes place in Thailand, it is so unbelievable but yes it does exist. Basically, a group of alluring women participates in this infamous competition. Women compete to be crowned as Miss Condom Asia-Pacific, and twenty women from four countries go to Thailand for this contest.  

The contest actually aims to promote safe sex and Thailand wants to combat HIV-AIDS by providing enough information to its citizens regarding safe sex.

One of the things contestants need to do is to blow condoms. Aside from the fact that it’s funny to see women blowing condoms, it also lets people know the limit of such a contraceptive.

It also aims to educate people about sexually transmitted diseases. In the Asia-Pacific region, more than seven million people have already been infected by STDs. SENATOR MECHAI VIRAVAIDYA supports the condom contest. The contest has been happening for the last 20 years.

The winner receives one thousand baht. Not only it is entertaining but has a very important purpose.
