NASA astronauts cast voted for US presidential elections from space !

Currently, America is having its historical election. Donald trump wins the elections that have held on Tuesday. Being an American, everyone wants to be the part of this election whether he /she is on earth or in space. Yes, two American astronauts orbiting the Earth at 17,000 miles per hour give their participations from the space. According to NASA, astronaut Shane Kimbrough cast their vote from the International Space Station (ISS). Another astronaut Kate Rubin’s cast her ballot before returning to Earth last week.

Texas Laws that is passed in 1997, the technical voting procedure for astronauts is available. Residents of Houston where the Johnson Space Centre is located a voted while in orbit. The procedure for this voting starts one year before the launch of a spaceship. This decision includes that astronauts want to participate in the elections or not when they are in space. Then, six months before the election, astronauts are provided with a standard form: the “Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Request – Federal Post Card Application”  ”, the US space agency said in a statement.

Astronaut David Wolf from NASA is the first man who uses this “space voting” in the same year of commencement. That time David Wolf is on the Russian Mir Space Station. Astronaut Shane Kimbrough is the recent user of this facility provides to astronauts.
