Often our difficulty increases when we are in a hurry and get stuck in our car or taxi traffic. However, now days are not far away when riding on floating taxis in the sky will be easily accessible from one place to another. Airbus' first flying taxi from Europe's aviation company could fly in 2018 next year.
Four passengers will be able to sit at one time
August 2016 Airbus proposed a plan for Self-driving Aerial Taxi for the first time, which can be started next year. Citibus is a battery powered air taxi that will vertically take off and land.
According to the European Aviation Company, this taxi will prove to be very effective in crowded places, where travelers can easily be moved from one place to another. In this taxi, four passengers will be able to sit at a time.
During the flying taxi pilot project, it will run at a speed of 120 km. An onboard pilot will be present in this taxi. With the development of technology later, it will be fully self-driving. The proposed Airbus will run at a speed of 120 kph (80 mph) on the scheduled route. Along with Airbus, other companies present in the market are also expanding at the level of technology in this field.
App-based taxi company Uber also discussed Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) technology in a three-day summit. Uber is looking for his future as an AirTax. Uber can offer its elevated network plan by 2020.
