Cab service provider App Ola on Tuesday announced the intercity tourism partnership with Google, which would provide long-distance travelers the ability to locate the Olla section of Ola on Google Maps. This step will enable booking of cabs at more than 215 Vanway Routes from 23 cities in the country on Google Maps.
In the coming weeks, this partnership will be available on 500 routes will be implemented. "Google and Ola are participating in keeping the strategic goals in mind, which will boost the customer experience and help in connecting a large number of customers," said Vijay Ghatge, Vice President, Ola's Operations, in a statement.
He said, "Ola Outstation has achieved tremendous success since launching last year and with this collaboration with Google, we will take this step a step further in making this category reliable and convenient for those traveling between different cities."
In October of 2016, Ola integrated its Intra City Cab service with Google Maps, so that customers can be informed about Cab options and estimated costs.
