New Delhi: On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) at Delhi's Sarita Vihar on Tuesday 17 October.

The first ever AIIA has been set up along the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Build up as a top institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, the institution will bring high spirit between the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda and modern diagnostic tools and expertise.

Within the short period of its founding, the Ayurveda Institute has achieved a wide national and international credit.

It has started working to make possible quality patient care, research and bridging the breach in the scientific information about quality, safety and usefulness of Ayurveda products and developing benchmarks of Ayurvedic education, research, and healthcare.

 In Vadodara The second National Ayurveda Day was celebrated by city-based Parul Institute of Ayurved at Sayajibaug on Friday with the theme 'Run for Ayurveda' and free pain management camp.

The rally was inaugurated and flagged off by Vadodara mayor Bharat Dangar as chief guest. The event was graced by Dr Sudhir Joshi, district AYUSH officer and Dr Komal Patel, managing trustee of Parul University.
