Dave Richardson the ICC Chief executive makes it clear to Pakistan that only if there is hundred per cent security assurance of security in there concern then only there’s a future of International Cricket in Pakistan.

Richardson gave this statement at a press conference which was held in Gadaffi  Stadium where he presented Misbha-ul-haq the ICC test Championship mace to the skipper.

“I know there’s a lot of passion of cricket in Pakistan and that is why I enjoy coming here, but only security situation will decide when international cricket returns to Pakistan,” Richardson said in the conference.

Pakistan has not hosted any full test series in their home country since a number of militants attacked the Sri lankan team in March 2009 in Lahore. This attack resulted in killing of 6 policemen, injuring an umpire and some team players.

Notably, only small cricketing teams like, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Afghanistan have visited Pakistan for short duration series.
