Shahid Kapoor is quite happy and excited that the trailer and songs of his upcoming film Rangoon are getting praises from audience and critics as well.

Recently during a media interaction, Shahid shared how thrilled his dad Pankaj Kapur was regarding his performance in the flick. 

Shasha told: "I was not invited but my dad was invited as he has a long-standing relationship with Vishal sir. Before he showed it to the cast of the film, he wanted to share it with people who would give him their true opinion. So he had called my dad." 

"I reached there uninvited as I wanted to see my dad's response. I remember he walked out of the theater, he saw Vishal sir and he said, 'It was difficult to recognize my son in the film. He is Nawab Malik and he's not Shahid Kapoor there'. For me, that is a huge compliment because my father does not say these things often. He is very honest to the art," he continued by saying.
