Police have arrested 11 members of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha ( GJM) on Friday night on charges of attempt to murder and vandalism.

The members of GJM were arrested over the allegations of using firm arms, vandalism of govt. Offices, arson and attempt to murder.  against Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 325, 326, 307, 333, 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Home minister Rajnath Singh met with the delegation of the GJM and Gorkhaland Movement Coordination Committee ( GMCC). The meeting came a day after when an arrest warrant was issued against GJM chief Bimal Gurung and seven others. 

As, per the reports, the warrant that is issued in the wake of unrest things raise in Darjeeling on June 8, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had held a cabinet meeting in the hilly city.
