Geeta Colony Police has uncovered a high-tech speculative racket of police. The accused used to bet on online racket via Whatsapp. The police have arrested three people running the speculation.
It was found in the investigation that the amount of money spent on the speculation was also paid online. E-wallet was used for this. Police officials say that this is the first case of betting through Whatsapp.
District Police Commissioner Nupur Prasad told that three accused arrested for speculation have been arrested. The accused have been identified as Lakshmi Nagar resident Harjeet Singh (34), Jagatpuri resident Monu and Karanjit Singh.
Investigations revealed that the accused had formed a group on Whatsapp. In which only his closest people were involved. No outside person was allowed to enter. Police got information that specimen is being fed in a hi-tech manner in a flat situated in Geeta Colony.
The police team information on the information was received by the team. When the information was found correct, the police team raided a flat on 11 blocks on Thursday and arrested three people. Police got 40 thousand rupees from them. The police are investigating the accused and looking for other people involved in the business.
