Rajkot test is getting batsman friendly. In the first innings we have witnessed 3 English batsmen hitting the century, now it's India's turn to show how well they can bat on the home grounds. In response of the England's mammoth 537, Cheteshwar Pujara is the first Indian to score the century while Murali Vijay is also chasing him closely. Murali Vijay has also completed the century right after Cheteshwar Pujara.

Indian openers Gautam Gambhir and Murali Vijay gave a steady start and India have not lost any wicket at the end of the 2nd day. But on the 3rd day, Gambhir departs early and Pujara comes into the charge. Being consistent with the already set Murali Vijay he is giving partnership for the 3rd wicket.

Cheteshwar Pujara has scored 16 fours in the century. As he is not so keen about the sixes so he hasn't hit any. It is century number 9 for Cheteshwar Pujara in test cricket playing for the nation. While Murali Vijay has played with a little low strike rate as compared to Cheteshwar Pujara. He has scored 8 fours and 3 sixes in his century which has come in more than 250 balls. Vijay hit 4 from the score of 99 to complete the century.

With this Indian is going back on track to chase the target with Kohli yet to come for the bat. Seeing it the 3rd day of the test, prediction can be that the game is moving towards a draw but we will see what comes next as the game moves.
