In the 7th Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Men) A-Division in the Pool C encounter on Day 5 the Hockey Punjab defeated Hockey Maharashtra by 8-1.
Hockey Punjab players performed well as captain Raman Kumar scored a hat-trick and Prateek Sharma (19', 24') performed well.
In Pool A, Hockey Gangpur - Odisha beat Hockey Andhra Pradesh. In Pool A's second game of the day, Hockey Odisha and Sports Authority of India played out a memorable 1-1 draw.
